Description
|
The
Carrot is an annual plant widely cultivated and
also found in the
wild.
The wild carrot has a tough, white root
that is not edible.
The delicate, white flowers appear on top
of the carrot stalk from June through
September.

prefer well drained soil that is high in
organic matter.
Do not plant in heavy clay
soil.
Spread seeds in a thin row about 2 inches
wide and 1/8 inch
deep.
Do not let the top soil dry out and do
not allow the beds to become
flooded.
Water to a 1 inch depth every 7
days.
Water first thing in the morning so the
foliage can dry before
evening.
