Description
|
Anelica Sinensis is an aromatic biennial plant native to
Asia. It thrives in well watered mountain ravines,
riverbanks, and coastal areas.
It grows to 6 feet tall, producing dense, course, thin
leaves and at the top of the center stock, clusters of greenish-white flowers that bloom from
June through August. The rootstock, where Dong Quai is derived from, has a spicy
odor.

Dong Quai is a women’s herb.
It has a tranquilizing effect on the central nervous system,
